Rules and expectations

What good participation looks like

  • Maintain weekly written updates with specific progress, blockers, and next actions.
  • Use GitHub issues and pull requests as the primary evidence trail for technical work.
  • Attend mentor reviews prepared with artifacts, not only verbal status updates.
  • Respect biomedical data boundaries, citation discipline, and responsible AI practices.
  • Request certificates, experience letters, or LORs only through the approval workflow.

GitHub workflow

Evidence is created as work happens

  1. 1 Create or receive assigned repository
  2. 2 Open issue for each research task
  3. 3 Link weekly update to issues and PRs
  4. 4 Submit PRs for reviewable artifacts
  5. 5 Mentor validates merged work and milestone evidence
